About XweAponX

In 1992 I turned on Saturday Morning Cartoons, specifically, "Fox Kids Network": which had a new show: "X-Men". I enjoyed this very much... They had two georgeous women, one with beautiful white hair and the other with a wild mop of Red... Both of which had incredible super-powers... And there were huge ROBOTS - SENTINELS... A little short dude with these six CLAWS that came out of his hands, he was the Coolest... And a woman named "Mystique" who was BLUE and who could change her shape to look like ANYBODY in the world - "Even ze voice!" *

* - Refer to X2 [X-Men United] (2003)

I was SO intrigued with this Cartooon, soon I discovered, this was NO Kiddie-Cartoon. About a month after I watched the Pilot Episodes: "Night of the Sentinels", I was wandering through a Supermarket and I came across a comix booc and I saw a picture of that little short guy with the Claws:

And this began my lifelong identification with "James" Logan, aka "Wolverine". When I first joined a Dialup-BBA, I took the name "Wolverine" - Not knowing the protocol about choosing names, I had used the "Handle" that had already been chosen by a guy who was already a member but had let his membership lapse. So, I became "weAponX" - The A and X representing the name of the BBS which I was a proud member of - "Anarchy-X".

At the time, I was a graduate from ITT, knew a little about computers, back then your basic system was DOS 6.22 with Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups 3.11 installed. The only browser that existed back then was Netscape 1.0, which was a free download for those of us lucky enough to have a TCP/IP "Slip" Account - Which cost a few dollars more and they gave you access to the Terminal Server, you logged into the Term Server, then you had access to "The Internet" - Which at the time was a very small community used mostly by Government and Ecucational sites. There were relatively few public or commercial websites back then: No Google, no Facebook, no Myspace. There were no Music sites, no iTunes, just public FTP sites where you could download free files, sometimes.

Along came windows 95. then "Windows 95 with Microsoft Internet Explorer" which was the first OS with an Embedded Internet Browser...

The Windows 98, then Millenium, and Windows 2000 which was the parent of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Around this time of the late 90's a new thing came about - It was called "Broadband Cable Service" which meant you could just plug your 'puter right into a Cable Modem and then browse to your heart's content. In 1997 a brand new website came into being: "Mp3.com" -

Not the MP3.com that is there now, which is basically an outlet for cnet, and for bands signed to Universal... MP3.com became the only website in the world where any band could create a FREE acount and upload MP3 files that could be either streamed on the spot, or downloaded for nothing.

Social Spit became Artist Number 513, the 513th "band" that joined MP3.com... And a month Later, artist number 4403 was named "weAponX" - And later this "weAponX" became a member of MP3.com, he looked over the Technical Support Forum and assisted bands who were having trouble using the Mp3.com website. He wrote a good part of the FAQ document that was used to help new bands with using the MP3.com system. And later this same "weAponX" joined another site that was an offshoot of Mp3.com - called aMP3.com where he did the same thing.

But nothing lasts forevr, and both Mp3.com and aMP3.com vanished into the ether where all websites go where there is no more money torun them... Or when they are sued by the biggest entertainment congkinerate in the world, namely Universal Records, who aquired MP3.comas a result of this suit and Universal then ejected all of the millions of artists on the site and sold the content (ie, music) to Garageband.com - Which only just recently turned over that music to REVERBNATION.com.

weAponx got lost in this rapdidly growing community of websites, his name even taken by kids who just saw the first X-Men fil, and they all wanted to use the name "weAponX" on the internet.

So, this "weAponX" who was being shoved out of the 'net due to his name being used by these kids, became "XweAponX" as that was a less common "nickname" - Or "Handle" or "Identity...", and he went to every single website he could find that had a BBS where people could talk to each other, and he used the name "XweAponX" on all of these sites - Blogger was one of the first sites hr created an "XweAponX" - back then it was not part of Google, it was just a standalone "Blog" website, the idea of making an Internet Journal or a "Blog" being brand new... This was around the years 2000 to 2001, maybe a little later.

But now it is 2011 and places like Facebook popped up, along with g-Mail and Twitter and all of the "Social Networking" poop we see today, and now these services can be accessed via a mobile device, like a Sprint Treo, an Android or just a good old iPhone.

"XweAponX" has put up pages at several sites:

www.myspace.com/xweaponx
www.myspace.com/writtenbyweaponx

www.myspace.com/socialspit

socialspit.com

IACMUSIC.COM/WEAPONX

IACMUSIC.COM/SOCIALSPIT

And many more if ya got patience to go a-googling.

Much like that obnoxious comic book character "Wolverine", "XweAponX" likes to rip holes in the fabric of The Net, and that is what he is doing here, today.
